Level-headed in normal situations, he tends to get a bit punch drunk and violent when it comes to fights, attributing it to the 'delightful sound of a hit'.

- Born to a semi-well known shipwright, Martin Lamb, Thomas was taught almost everything he needed to know in order to survive at Water 7 from a young age, to the point of being allowed to help at his father's company: Nereid Ships, a shipyard co-owned by Martin and his close friend Oliver Topps. Having received a sort of early apprenticeship, his relationships with other fellow shipwrights, especially one Deacon Topps, who was in a situation incredibly similar to his own, the two hitting it off as great friends, much like their fathers. Years passed, and the two boys aged into fine men, and even finer shipwrights, bur so did age Oliver and Martin, and soon the two retired, leaving the leadership posts to a trusted colleague of theirs, Thrift Highlander, hoping he could bring much change to the shipyard. And bring change he did. Unfortunately, said change was not to Thomas's and Deacon's liking. But now a father himself, Deacon had no choice but to accept things as they were. On the other hand, Thomas ventured out to the Blues, helping people by making their ships ready for the Grand Line.
