Personality: A combat oriented situation are her favorite situations. She revels in fighting a strong opponent and would not take to kindly to interruptions. She is not one to run from battle as she fights her opponents head on. Believing that death happens because one is weak. Being strong means surviving. She has no hesitation killing children, babies, the elderly, or her own comrades. Crossing her path against her wishes is the same as a dead body waiting to drop.
Out of battle, she is more charismatic. Working on getting to know the troops and happy to visit all those that make it to her torture chambers. She takes great pleasure in finding new methods and ways of causing others pain. From working on an elixir to regrow tissue while making it feel like you want to die, really gets her juices flowing. While outwardly kind she can be unforgiving. Failing a mission that was within your capabilities, with no valid reason in her book is grounds for termination. Even if it is not your fault and you fail the mission prepare yourself for some light play, like hot candle wax and weighted stones on your ribs. She is not a peaceful person and will look or start any war she can.
She always looks decent but it is more of habit than caring about fashion. She cares not for music and the arts as she considers them of no value. While she would constantly read books for information she would not read fantasy and the like. Stories are for people who do not want to live their lives.

Selene was born in the snow covered mountains of Wano Country. Her mom died giving birth to her so her dad raised her alone, heiress to the Daimyo of the clan. She was raised to be a hunter like every other villager. Living in a frigid waste land her father taught her one thing “The weak die at the hands of the strong.” Her mother died because she was weak, the snow beasts they hunted died because they were not strong enough to live. Everything in her life was a means of survival.
By the age of six, she had already killed more men and dangerous beasts than she could count. At the age of eight, she went out on a quest alone to hunt a snow Griffin a small, a small two-day adventure in the middle of a snow storm. She was ecstatic when she clipped its wing and carved it's heart out while it still screamed. She returned home triumphant to the sounds of silence.
The stench of blood permeated the air. As she entered the village she heard a moan. Kagu a high ranked soldier under her father was barely alive. His blood staining the white snow. According to him after she left the tribe got ambushed. They tried fighting back as hard as they could but the surprise attack and overwhelming numbers were too much. As he finished boasting about how her father was the strongest of them all, he died from his injuries.
Selene had no reason to try and save him. As far as she was concerned he was as weak as her father. The sight of her father impaled by multiple spears thru his body would inspire most people to battle for vengeance. Selene believed in fighting a heavily damaged tribe would be boring. Nor did she care for vengeance. Her father and her village were weak. So they got destroyed. Such is the order of life.
She traveled to the port over the course of a month. Surviving by instinct and the survival skills drilled into her. The normally empty port was busy as an important marine by the last name of Eiji was visiting the port. Her every instinct told her the man was dangerous, and her body ached to kill him. An opponent so overwhelming powerful showed her how big the world was. She wanted nothing more but to experience the world she has yet to see. The marine smiled taking an interest in the shabby looking girl with wild eyes.
While Ryushima did not have much pull in the country. Selene was smart enough to pretend to be weak. So the Daimyo of the region had no reason to fight over a nameless street urchin. As she had no family or records to even change to deceased. Selene was released from the country after Strauss paid a large fine. She worked for two years aboard the ship learning before formally entering the marine academy.
The academy was simple enough for her. Upon her early graduation and battle experience. She was sent to south blue to prove her mettle. A year ago she was promoted to the Rank of Captain. Now she sails the blues looking for her next battle.
