Important Positions: Each important world position which is listed in the
Important Characters page, now has concrete requirements which can be met to apply for those positions.
Bonuses: Each position has some bonuses affiliated with it, and some higher positions have very unique rewards! Check them out at your leisure.
Please see the new Word Positions and Promotion Mechanics thread for details.
Major Overhaul: The combat system now greatly relies on
dice rolls along with stats.
Additional Mechanics: The combat system now includes mechanics for the following: arresting/kidnapping, killing, escaping and chasing, stealth and surprise attacks, combos, team ups against Quest Bosses, sea prism stone effects, haki tweaks, etc.
Please read through the Combat Guide at your leisure. The new changes may seem overwhelming at first, but they are all designed in a way to make for fairly quick calculations. The guide is only long because the system is much deeper now.
Changes in difficulty: The difficulty settings have now been overhauled. Please see the
Questing Guide to review the new difficulty requirements and bonuses. (In short, you need to defeat far less monstrous opponents to earn the same amount of EXP.)
Boss requirements: But, with the new difficulty settings and the overhauled combat mechanics, there are now further boss requirements that you must meet in order to perform quests.
Perks shop and challenges: There are now certain perks you can either purchase or obtain through unique challenges which can then be applied to either your own character or your NPCs. Check out the
Shop of Dreams to see these new Perks!
Price adjustments: There were some minor price adjustments applied to various items to accommodate the new questing and combat changes. These were all adjusted to maintain pace of progression.
If you have any questions or suggestions for more additions to the systems (especially new perks), please feel free to reply.
