Coming Home [Episode - Solo]

Ryuji was on a speedboat that was headed straight for his home island which is known as Zona, he ordered his 45th Shock Battalion to stay at a nearby island for now until he returned, he wanted to handle his return to his old home island on his own, as he didn't want to complicate matters if the tribe for some reason had some bad blood with the marines. The reason why his home island was uncharted was because the island itself "moved" around in the grandline, every five years it rotated around a certain circle around the grandline, and according to what Ryuji remembered and if his calculations were correct, he would mark exactly where the island should be calculating from all the years he was gone from the island.

It seemed that his calculations were correct however, as he saw an island slightly in the distance, he picked up the speed on his speedboat and started to drive straight for the island. It looked very familiar to how he left it. He started to approach the island shores and noticed in the long distance, in the middle of the island there was a huge wooden modification with a flag on the top, it seemed to be under the occupation of a group, though he couldn't tell if it were a pirate flag or not. As he reached upon the shores, he knew that the tribes precaution was to approach any invaders and warn them to back off. He had no welcome party however, and wondered why.

He stepped off the boat, walking through the shore and into the forest of the island, which had a combination of tall and short grass and long trees as he remembered. When he saw a general overlook of the forest, it reminded him of his childhood in the forest, playing tag with other children, hunt the monster game with wooden spears involved but no actual hurting involved, then at a later age came the actual hunting. At first all the children were scared as they believed the creatures of the island would swallow them whole, but all the children eventually claimed their first kill and kept their pelts as a trophy. He wondered what happened to his. He sat down on a nearby rock and kept staring at the forest, with constant memories kicking in over how many times he ran all over the forest.

Ryuji's nostalgic moment suddenly came to a halt when he started to hear nearby footsteps, bushes ruffling and the wind picking up it's pace. He could definitely feel someone was there. He heard a branch being kicked among the trees and theorized that they're jumping along the trees, he could start to hear a voice. "He doesn't look that strong... I'll take the first, and only round! he can't see us!" Ryuji then gave a forceful elbow behind him based on where he heard the voice, he could feel his elbow impact something and when he turned his head around, saw that his elbow was implanted into a red-haired guy with abnormally long legs. Ryuji then said "No, but I can hear you moron." seeing that the guy attempted to attack Ryuji from behind, but failed due to Ryuji's instinct. The guy fell to the ground and was holding his chest, trying to catch his breath.

It seemed that whoever else was there was starting to run away, as he could hear kicks against branches on the trees. "Oh no you don't!" Ryuji said, as he jumped on a nearby tree and started following direction of where the kicks were coming from, he was going to hopefully follow them back to their base. It would seem weird for Ryuji to jump across these trees, but it was something he did for fun as a child, he started to remember what paths he took with these trees like it was on the back of his hand. He suddenly stopped hearing the kicks and stopped to one tree, he saw that he was actually pretty close to their modification, that he saw from the distance when he was on the speedboat to the island.

It seemed the party that ran away stepped down from the trees and ran across all directions, he noticed that like the guy he elbowed back in the forest, they also had strangely long legs. He put one and one together and finally realized that these guys must've come from the long-legged tribe, but why are they here? Ryuji was told that the genes of the long-legged disappeared long ago with his tribe, so it wouldn't make sense for the long-legged tribe to be here. It seemed that two long-legged men got together and started talking "There's an intruder out in the forest, he took out Jack in one blow." "Seriously? who the hell is this guy? Dorian isn't going to be happy about that..." Dorian... there's a name given, now... Ryuji's mission is to ask around about this Dorian, as he seems to be an important character among these long-legged troublemakers.

Ryuji was jumping across tree to tree, trying to be as silent as possible to gather information about the base before he went on a "interrogating" mission for some of the long-legged members. However, he came across a peciluar character, a long-legged person who was much taller then the others who also has unique characteristics from the others that was literally screaming "I'm the boss!" which, he assumed he was. In one moment, it seemed that the man just instantly teleported out of the spot he was at, Ryuji looked around trying to wonder where he went until he heard a "Found ya." and a swift kick was given against Ryuji, forcing him to jump off the tree and into the base of other long-legged tribe members. The man who kicked Ryuji jumped down and said "Back off! this one's mine. I want to see if this guy is any good or not." Ryuji then quickly stood up. He asked the man saying "How did you know where I was?" he gave a smirk and said "I sensed you, haki if you know what that is." Ryuji then prepared himself in a fighting stance which the black-haired guy also did as well.


"Yeah I do, I'm assuming you're Dorian?" the man nodded, saying "Indeed, Dorian Javus at your service. Well... not really at your service, as I'm about to kill you. I only said that because it's something I used to say... habits and all that- nevermind, can we just fight?" Ryuji found him a rather odd man, but Dorian's power was no joke. Ryuji has received blows before, and even though Ryuji managed to slightly block Dorian's kick from before, he still felt the hurt on it. Dorian's strength was clearly at a higher level then Ryuji's, if not at an incredible level. He was insanely fast too, it looked like if Ryuji wanted to have any chance at defeating Dorian, he needed to go into his hybrid form. He needed the speed to at least over-speed him to overcome the strength that Dorian has.

Ryuji quickly transformed into his hybrid form and wasted no time after he decided that he had to beat this man, and he had to do it fast. He clearly is somewhat stronger then Ryuji. Ryuji gave a fast slash of this wing aimed in the direction of Dorian, which a rankyaku came out, with electricity sparking out from it performing his Electric Rankyaku, which then he'd imagine Dorian would try to dodge. The instant he did, as the rankyaku was picking up speed against the man, Ryuji let out a charge of lightning at the top area of where the rankyaku was going to be, so if Dorian were to jump, he'd at least get hit by Ryuji's Spark of Lightning Ryuji then prepared a small voltage which was weaker then the spark of lightning, but he'd charge it against Dorian the instant he either dodged the first two attacks or got hit by either of them.

All of Ryuji's lightning attacks landed on the man successfully, which surprised Ryuji as the man showed very capable speed earlier and thought he'd at least try to jump over the rankyaku, but it seemed that Ryuji's attacks were faster then he thought and instead, suffered all three attacks that Ryuji launched against Dorian. Ryuji could tell he took a hit, but he still seems to be standing and was able to shrug it off. "I'll give you credit where it's due, that hurts. You'll need a lot more then that though to take me down." he said arrogantly, even though the man showed an impressive display of shrugging it off, Ryuji could tell it did hurt. He believes if he can land a couple of combos in the same manner, he could beat this man.

Ryuji tried to prepare another combo, but Dorian already started his attack and jumped straight at Ryuji with incredible speed, his kick nearly reached Ryuji but Ryuji just shifted to the right just in the nick of time, Dorian already adapted to the dodge as he used his spare leg to kick the ground, and started swinging his leg at Ryuji which Ryuji ducked under. Dorian then put both of his hands to the ground and started turning around at incredible speeds, with his legs flat out spinning at incredible speeds which Ryuji couldn't get out of due to being ducked, and was kicked by each leg. Ryuji was then pushed back and the man stopped the spinning leg attack, just to push his hands off the ground and launch both legs against Ryuji, which Ryuji managed to block but still kicked him with great force and launched him against a tree.

Ryuji got back up from the tree slowly, but managed to go through the pain and went back up on his feet. Dorian then said "Impressive, you sure know how to dodge. You're not the only one who can though." he then raised up both arms, trying to entice Ryuji into attacking him. "Come on, do another one of those lightning attacks. Surprise me!" Ryuji wanted to end this quickly now, he started to see Dorian as a serious threat and had to be eliminated quickly. Ryuji decided to use his strongest attack, Eyes of Lightning. Lightning already charged up across his body to his eyes which surprised some of the pirates, but in one fast instant the lightning bolts from his eyes charged straight at Dorian, almost like it was instantaneous. Ryuji then jumped straight in the rubble that was created from his attack, his next combo was to use Jumping Talon Kick and then if that were to hit or fail, try to dig his claws inside Dorian for at least one guaranteed hit.

Dorian had reacted fast to the Eyes of Lightning technique by Ryuji, but due to the lightning's incredible speed, Dorian couldn't dodge it completely and took a grazing hit off the chest. He tried to put pressure on the spot that was hit by the technique, but couldn't get a break as Ryuji's small combo succeeded, Ryuji flipped over to where Dorian was and kicked him with his talons, which his claws also dugged into his skin. Ryuji jumped off before Dorian could try anything dangerous at close range. While Ryuji was in mid-air from the jump, it appeared that the man started to kick the air, he was using Geppo. Ryuji used his wings to fly up but the man soon caught up and attempted a barrage of kicks at Ryuji's neck, which Ryuji managed to dodge every single one until Dorian did a sudden pattern change in his attacks, he managed to sneak one kick through Ryuji's chest. 

Dorian then geppo'd over to Ryuji and attempted a barrage of kicks at Ryuji's chest, Ryuji managed to once again dodge every single one, he was staying focused on the legs so he wouldn't get kicked surprisingly again until the legs stopped suddenly and a fist soon connected to Ryuji's face, which started to launch him to the ground but he picked up altitutde and started to fly up in the air, while Dorian was keeping himself in the air with Geppo. "Surprised?" said Dorian, "You shouldn't be, as long-legged humans we naturally have stronger legs, so we learn this technique easier then other races." Dorian said, Ryuji could feel a sense of pride from Dorian as he said this, "By the way... I know you're a devil fruit user, but what did you eat? you're definitely a zoan, but I don't know any type of bird that shoots out lightning." Dorian asked, it was a fair question since mythical zoans aren't very well known to most people, Ryuji remained silent to the question however. "The silent treatment, hmm? whatever, I'll beat the answer out of you once were done."

Both Ryuji and Dorian were in the air, they prepared their stances and both were clearly thinking their next move. Ryuji had two combos planned, one was to use his Talon Electrocution to dig his claws into him and fly him to the ground, and then send electricity to his talons, electrifying Dorian. He would then Wing Slap him in the face, and as a final insult, send one last charge through his claws while they're inside Dorian. Both had clearly planned their next move, which then Ryuji and Dorian flew right at each other and a great clash was about to happen.

Ryuji and Dorian clashed at each other, Ryuji's talons were clashing with Dorian's legs and while Dorian had more power in his attacks and Ryuji was still pushed back, shockwaves were created as a result of the clash. Ryuji kept this clash up until he saw a opening, in which he did. Ryuji flew straight at an open Dorian with his talon claws digged straight inside Dorian's chest, Dorian then yelled at Ryuji and started to furiously kick Ryuji at his bottom chest. Ryuji then did his best to endure through the pain and fly Dorian straight to the ground, in which he set off electricity in his talons, shocking Dorian as he was helpless on the ground. Dorian tried to catch his breath but Ryuji slapped Dorian's face with his wing, which let out another voltage of electricity to the man's face. He sent another charge through his talons while they were still inside him, though not as strong as the previous one but it would still hurt nonetheless.

Ryuji thought he had won at this point, until he was surprised by a powerful kick in the face from Dorian, followed up by a smaller barrage of kicks. Which most of them landed on Ryuji, pushing him back. At this point both Ryuji and Dorian were exhausted. Both of them were gasping for air from the intense clash and number of attacks both of them just went through. Ryuji then said "Sheesh... you're one... tough bastard... to take down..." Dorian then also said "Same to you... don't remember... last time I struggled... like this..." both of them were clearly now aware of the other's strength, if they didn't acknowledge it before. Dorian then got back up and went into a proper fighting stance. "Don't get cocky however... you did wind me for a bit, but victory is mine. Let's face it, you're good at dodging my attacks, but not at enduring them. I doubt you'll keep this bravado for much longer." Ryuji then charged straight at Dorian, but a quick leg from Dorian forced Ryuji to jump back.

Both fighters seemed to have catched their breath. They prepared for another clash like they had previously, except this time it was on the ground. Ryuji pulled out his heaviest hitting moves and this guy is still standing. He still has to deliver everything he's got, but he has to be more cautious now. Ryuji planned out his next combo, to use a fast electric beam, which he calls Electric Outcharge aimed at Dorian to get him on the move, and while he is forced out of the way, Ryuji takes advantage of a unsuspecting Dorian to attack him from behind with a light combo, he jumps over to Dorian with a flip, landing his talons on him using his Jumping Talon Kick, he cuts him with that attack, he aims his wing towards Dorian at point blank range and use his Spark of Lightning to slightly stun him, in which once he is, Ryuji attempts a dropkick with his talons, he always wondered if that could ever be used for an attack.

Ryuji managed to fully land his combo, the electrical beam was too fast for Dorian and he was fully shocked and stunned from it, which gave Ryuji an opening to jump over to Dorian and kick him with his talons, which succeeded, after he tried to hold pressure on the cuts, Ryuji sneaked in a spark of lightning which stunned him for a bit again, and Ryuji completed this full combo with a talon dropkick which launched him against the tree. Ryuji thought he could breath for a bit after landing such a combo, but it was wrong as a pissed off Dorian stood up from the crashed tree and it looked liked he instantaneously teleported right in-front of Ryuji, ducking in-front of him and landing a very powerful kick to Ryuji's face which made him go in the air, Dorian geppo'd up to Ryuji's level and flipped over, doing a overhead kick to Ryuji's chest which speeded Ryuji's falling straight to the ground.

Ryuji struggled to get back up, Ryuji had to combine several techniques together to even scratch Dorian, but Dorian makes it look easy, in just two successful hits, he seriously injured Ryuji. This is something Ryuji wouldn't usually do as he despises the idea of it... but he may have no choice, he would have to run away if things started to get seriously south. It seemed Dorian picked up on Ryuji's hesitation and said "What's wrong? feeling a bit blue? I'm surprised, I didn't think someone like you of the tribe would be strong at all." Ryuji showed a dumbfounded look, but Dorian then said "Don't give me that, I know what that tattoo means on your face. I don't care if you're an outcast or not, you're a fighter and a descendant of the long-legged tribe, though you don't carry our leg genes, you are one of us. Why fight this futile battle? become my right-hand man, join me in dominating these seas. If we work together, no opposing force can stop us." Ryuji felt a bit of wanderlust after the man's offer, for some reason... it felt refreshing, but he snapped out of it and realized his position with the marines. He can't do that, he already dedicated his life for the marines and the people he is already friends with, he can't abandon them. He said "That's an intriguing offer, but I have to say no. I don't know enough, but I know you're doing something to my tribe, and it clearly isn't something good." Dorian then said "Shame, oh well. I respect your decision. I doubt I'll give mercy to you though."

Ryuji planned his next combo, he would start flying in the air, creating some speed to manipulate the wind against Dorian, using his Great Gale Wind attack,  in which once Dorian starts to struggle to move against the wind, Ryuji will use his Talon Rankyaku to slash through the wind and slash directly at Dorian, which some of the wind will break off from the external cut, which then Ryuji will jump at Dorian with a Beak Bite and finally, letting off a small discharge at his beak.

Ryuji managed to bring back and forth his wings in order to start bringing up a momentum of force, once he started to fly around in the air, he pushed this force towards Dorian from his wings, creating a very strong wind, it started to slightly push him back but he started to walk straight through the wind like it was nothing, he then kicked the air with his talons, creating a very claw-like rankyaku that was headed straight for Dorian, but with a powerful kick of his own, he managed to kick off the middle of the rankyaku, the sides of the rankyaku continued through behind him, slicing through the trees. Dorian jumped straight at Ryuji to grapple him and then give him a brutal knee strike to his gut, forcing Ryuji's head to go down, which Ryuji then bites onto his neck, Dorian screams in pain as Ryuji then turned his wing into a human arm for a second, to directly punch Dorian to the face.

Dorian retaliated quickly and started a barrage of kicks once more, due to Ryuji's superior speed he managed to dodge most of them except for one, which landed onto his arm, slightly damaging it. Ryuji then backstepped from Dorian, as it seems that the battle was starting to grow more and more intense, Ryuji couldn't keep this up for much longer and he might very well lose... He hated the thought of this, but he wouldn't help anyone if he was to die today... Ryuji quickly turned his arm back into a wing, going into his hybrid form and flying up in the air, he started to fly out of the island with what strength and stamina he had left, Dorian was on his tail for a while as he used geppo to kick into the air, but he stopped eventually and returned to the island. Ryuji's injuries had started to catch up with him the more he flew out of the island, looking back at it with the biggest regret of abandoning it.

He flew for a couple of hours into the vast sea, into the direction of where he believed he came from to soon find a speedboat with a light, he started to fly towards it and saw that there were about three of his men on it, one of them saw Ryuji flying and said "Rear-Admiral Ryuji! I'm glad we foun-" soon enough, as soon as Ryuji landed onto the boat, he returned to his normal body and instantly collapsed, while it may not show on the outside, the powerful kicks from Dorian had seriously injure his bones. They tried to wake him up but to no avail, with Ryuji slipping into unconsciousness.
