NPCs: Laurel O’Halloran
- Darling:
“The land-walkers think we’re all here to help. How cute . . .”
NPC Name: “Darling”
NPC Race: Klabautermann
NPC Age: ???
NPC Affiliation: Apollo’s Pompokolin
NPC Position: Shipwright (dubious), Caretaker (even more so), Heel (absolutely)
NPC Level: 20
NPC Appearance: Darling resembles a small human girl (precisely 5 feet in height) with shoulder-length, jet black hair marked by a single red stripe at the front bangs, multiple white stripes throughout, red eyes, and distinctively sharp ears. She can also be distinguished by the pair of small, narrow horns jutting out from her forehead. It all serves as a firm reminder that Darling is almost certainly not human, let alone living or thinking as one. Rather, it could be said her appearance reflects her personality aptly, which blends together humor and malice in equal measure.
NPC Background: Darling is the Klabautermann of the Xu Fu, and came into existence with her christening. One encounter with her will demonstrate that her alias was chosen out of irony. Unlike typical imaginings of ship spirits, Darling is a frequent sight aboard the Xu Fu due to possessing a physical form, and is an even more regular source of ire for the crew. She is essentially an embodiment of disorder, constantly wreaking havoc on board by means of harassment, pranks, and threatening certain doom of the ship itself at every voyage in various and contrived ways. At times, Darling can be legitimately dangerous, mainly when someone besides her is trying to vandalize the Xu Fu; she has been known to attempt to kill passengers she especially hates or finds unworthy of climbing aboard, and sometimes she even succeeds. Even Apollo’s Pompokolin crewmates are not safe from harm if they let their guard down near her. In fact, newcomers are among Darling’s favorite marks for callous mischief.
Darling does not heed commands from the upper brass of Apollo’s Pompokolin, except those who utter her true name. She is allowed some freedom on the ship she is bound to, but having her true name conjured with would make her a slave to anyone armed with that knowledge. For this reason, Laurel and Xu Fu’s shipwrights, the only people who do know Darling’s true name, keep it a well-guarded secret, and even then only use it in a hushed voice where Darling’s cooperation is essential.
Despite her abrasiveness, and her unceasing winning streak for the “Crewmate We’d Like To Maroon the Most” awards, Darling can indeed act like a “proper” Klabautermann from time to time; while she might not necessarily be loyal to the Pompoko Pirates (she was even the first to use that name), she is ultimately loyal to the ship itself, and proves this by cleaning up after her more destructive pranks (eventually), making maintenance repairs (when she isn’t busy bothering the crew or passengers), and clashing directly against threats affecting the Xu Fu.

- Sado:
“Pain is the universe’s way of letting you know you’re still alive.”
NPC Name: Kenneth Massoqui
NPC Race: Longlimb Human
NPC Age: 42
NPC Affiliation: Apollo’s Pompokolin
NPC Position: Actual Shipwright. We think.
NPC Level: 20
NPC Appearance: Easily one of the most menacing visages on the Xu Fu, Sado stands close to 16 feet tall. His muscular body is covered head-to-toe in various kanji tattoos, scars, and piercings; perhaps the only thing left unmarred is the stripe of jade green hair on his head, fashioned into a mohawk standing an extra two feet in length, left free to flutter in the wind with seemingly a will of its own. He can often be seen wearing his favorite grey plaid bandana over his mouth, reaching down to his chest, a pair of safety goggles, and simple, deep taupe clothes, black denim jeans, and steel-capped leather boots. His shirt is draped with leather bandoliers, and he has a belt holding even larger ones, all meant to hold a variety of carpentry tools. Whatever his habits, let it never be said Sado doesn’t take his job seriously.
NPC Background: An ex-Cipher Pol agent, Sado’s biggest problem was the fact that he enjoys self-inflicted pain. After the invasion of Marineford by the Soaring Pirates years ago, which he viewed less a mass-Pirate invasion and more the biggest opportunity to “be himself,” Sado received a dishonorable discharge after being found on the outskirts of the island at that time, tied up and left behind in a dusty old shack, apparently put in that position by pirates who found him as too weak to bother with, but with forensics discovering he had done that to himself. (Though there was evidence of pirates entering the shack . . . and soon leaving.)
Sado was originally planning to take revenge against the World Government when he ran into Apollo’s Pompokolin, and received the “traditional Pompoko greeting” —which is to say, there he met Darling, who tried to kill him and make him suffer. Sado loved it! This disturbed Darling so much that, much to Sado’s sadness, the “sadistic spirit” would leave him alone from then on. (It would also be the only time that Darling had been called as such, with it being meant as a compliment by the person saying it, and she refused to accept it.) Allowed to join the crew for his own goals, which now became somewhat lower on his priorities, Sado now occasionally tries to coax the chef into giving him whole hellbañero peppers harvested from Amazon Lily, or otherwise petition Mercy as his personal chef.
Despite all these sado-selfish flaws, Sado is a man of goodwill—usually—and bears an upbeat, chipper demeanor that seems to rub off the rest of the crew so long as he keeps his interests in check. Even more fortunately, his chief vice is also one of his greatest strengths: the only thing Sado truly fears is a painless death. The opportunity to fight the strongest opponents translates to the opportunity to experience pain of the highest caliber, leaving him all too happy to meet such enemies head-on if given the order—or even if he isn’t. While seemingly altruistic sacrifices on his part are usually done for his own benefits, one would be hard-pressed to find an ally as eager to watch their back, take a bullet for them, and march to Hell and back for them, as this one. Go where the challenge is greatest, and one can be sure Sado won’t be far behind; in fact, he’s likely far ahead.

- Whisper:
- NPC Name: Tachibana no Chouko
“Will you take note, gentlemen? Mercy, our master of the arts cleric and medical, has had the perspicacity to discover that I am drunk~.”
NPC Race: Human
NPC Age: 30
NPC Affiliation: Apollo’s Pompokolin
NPC Position: Musician
NPC Level: 20
NPC Appearance: Standing at about 5’8”, Whisper has a lean, toned figure built for endurance, suited well to her profession as a percussionist (and equipping her with the finest derrière on the decks, if you asked the men). She has wavy red hair and eyes, and an enthusiatic punk-stylist, with a black shirt whose slogan seems to change by the day, a leather choker with silver chains, and a multicolored plaid skirt. No shoes. It's also worth mentioning that she can and will change the color of her hair and eyes to something else on a whim, and her fingernails will match them as well; not as a matter of stealth, but of fashion.
NPC Background: Whisper was the captain of her own crew, the Benzaiten Pirates, a group of Wano dissidents unsatisfied with the feudal system of their country and eking out a living beyond its borders. They explored the Grand Line, came into conflict with Apollo’s Pompokolin, and were defeated and became absorbed into the crew rather than executed. Grateful for being spared, Whisper and her band have served aboard the Xu Fu since with music as quiet as a sonorous war cry.
With this in mind, coupled with her laid-back and straightforward personality, it would be easy to dismiss Whisper as being a daft punk, but the reality is she is very wise, perceptive, and eloquent. Despite being a pirate opposed to the lifestyle of Wano Country, she bears little ill-will towards the nation in general. She has an almost regal air in her overall attitude, and makes for a pleasant conversationalist. As such, charisma and a silver tongue come naturally to her, making it small wonder how she became a pirate captain.

- Mercy:
- NPC Name: Sisel Beaucoup
“Even though it’s so dangerous for them . . . how can these Revolutionaries fight the whole world?! Are they really that—oh, never mind. . . .”
NPC Race: Mink
NPC Age: 24
NPC Affiliation: Apollo’s Pompokolin
NPC Position: Doctor
NPC Level: 10
NPC Appearance: Mercy is a tall vulpine Mink woman, just under 6 feet, with yellow fur, large ears and a long snout, and a clean priestly garb of whites, blues, and purples she wears at almost all times. Whether despite or because of her imposing figure, she tends to use more passive body language when talking with others.
NPC Background: In a crew where nicknames are often sardonically fitting or ironic, Mercy is an odd case where both criteria apply to her. She grew up as a chaplain in Ohara, and was the former cook of Apollo’s Pompokolin, her station only lasting one meal. This meal ended with many sickened crewmates falling prostrate in their barracks, praying to a higher power for the first time in their lives either to survive, or be given swift and painless deliverance. Fortunately for everyone, she was able to prove her skill as an apothecary that same day, and was moved to that role, where she performs much more wonderfully. With a sweet and graceful disposition, Mercy doesn’t even seem to mind the fact she’s been banned from even stepping foot in the kitchen ever again (much to the disappointment of Sado, the main cause of that particular ruling).
Whenever off-duty, she often has coffee in the library with Sleepy, the crew’s archivist, with whom she had been childhood friends, and she takes on the role of the mature and polite yin to Sleepy’s more cheeky and selfish yang. Although able to keep her cool in a crisis, there are times when the unexpected can make her mind race and worry. Even so, like any other Mink, Mercy is a natural combatant and skilled with Electro, such that even Darling does not take her lightly.

- Sleepy:
- NPC Name: Botan Valerian
“That dog we met before was running free—just like our dog. Or maybe that was a person we had. It’s within the margin of error.”
NPC Race: Human
NPC Age: 23
NPC Affiliation: Apollo’s Pompokolin
NPC Position: Archivist
NPC Level: 10
NPC Appearance: Sleepy stands out in the ship halls as being a dainty, almost ghostly figure at 5’6” with long, wispy lavender hair and eyes, and a predisposition for similarly downy clothing, like pajamas, for daily wear. As such, the inexperienced tend to mistake her for being an actual ghost. Also not doing her any favors is her generally dark and taciturn mien; one can only rarely expect a reaction from her more positive than a contemplative frown.
NPC Background: Sleepy is a former Oharan Scholars Associate who went into hiding after her distaste at hiding details of the Void Century, fighting a losing battle with narcolepsy and a weak constitution. She makes up for her lack of presence outside the ship with a frightening intellect and memory. Her main task is to record the misadventures of the crew and keep them abreast with the goings-on of the world. She is also gifted with an ability to read poneglyphs.
Sleepy is generally introverted and silent in demeanor, at least a little trenchant and cynical, lacking in proactivity, and more interested in being left to her own devices. However, she is always interested where knowledge is concerned and shows no hesitation in trying to acquire it. She tends to be sarcastic and condescending towards anyone who doesn’t hold a similar interest, and seems to treat those who do as rivals. In spite of this, she is childhood friends with Mercy, and goes out of her way to brew coffee for whenever the two are off-duty. Ironically enough, Sleepy loves coffee, to the extent that on the rare occasion she does leave the Xu Fu, it’s usually to steal beans, much to the chagrin of the shops that stock them. Whether out of custom or a desire to not be disturbed from slumber, Sleepy is indiscriminate in her wrath to anyone who causes a racket in the library halls. She considers Darling to be her archenemy not just for the noise she creates, but also for the mess she leaves from throwing books around haphazardly.

- Whiskeyjack:
“One of these days you lot’re gonna say something without getting sarcastic and I’ll curl up and die.”
NPC Name: Elmo Shropshire
NPC Race: (Human according to Marine records)
NPC Age: (35 according to Marine records)
NPC Affiliation: Apollo’s Pompokolin
NPC Position: Quartermaster, Barber
NPC Level: 10
NPC Appearance: No one has ever seen Whiskeyjack without his helmet—not even for bathing or sleeping—which has given cause for many in the crew to question if he’s even human, or more terrifying than Sado, or more handsomely attractive than Whisper. He’s a tall and dark figure at about 6’2”, favoring a billowing gray cloak, a bottle of spirits hidden well within, alongside black and green clothing.
NPC Background: Whiskeyjack was a former Ensign of the Marines who aspired to become a Captain, save up enough money from the salary, and enter an early and prosperous retirement—quite ordinary. Unfortunately, when he was ordered to remove his helmet by his commanding officer in order to be better examined, his C.O. was so shocked at what he had seen he denied the position to Whiskeyjack, and even went as far as to discharge him from the Marines. Naturally, Whiskeyjack was furious, and swore revenge on the Marines by turning to piracy, and developed a love of alcohol in the process.
He joined Apollo’s Pompokolin during the Xu Fu’s christening, and was the first to discover, in the hard way, the chaotic (and occasionally violent) existence that is Darling. Though intimidated by her, Whiskeyjack, fond of housekeeping and other such chores, is usually tolerated by her when in her immediate presence so long as he smiles, nods, and goes about his business. On rare occasions, though, this meek and seemingly prissy figure will stand up for himself in the event Darling has cruel designs planned for him, becoming just as intimidating as he otherwise appears.

- The Twin Pups:
“Wonder Twin Powers, ACTIVATE!!! . . . Pfffft, imagine! Right, sis?”
NPC Name: Estelle & Anelace Cailean
NPC Race: Half-Mink
NPC Age: 13
NPC Affiliation: Apollo’s Pompokolin
NPC Position: Cabin Girls
NPC Level: 10
NPC Appearance: Anelace is the younger sister with long hair and a horn, while the older Estelle has shorter hair and no horn. As to be expected of twins, they have many physical attributes in common with superficial differences, such as mint green hair and eyes (Anelace’s hair is darker, while Estelle’s eyes are brighter) and heights roughly 4’6” (Anelace being just a centimeter taller). In most cases, the only way to tell the two apart should they swap their hair is to note the horn on Anelace’s head and the different set of ears and tail resembling those of a komainu, whereas Estelle’s Mink traits are more traditionally canid. As for clothes, Estelle’s favorite consists of a salmon pink shirt with flower-shaped buttons over a white dress with black trim, while Anelace prefers a more breathable, scarlet-red, short-sleeved shirt with white cloud designs patterned over it, and white shorts with a red cloud pattern instead.
NPC Background: While it is not unheard of for youths to enlist themselves into the Pompoko Pirates—one need look no further than a certain Navigator who can manipulate his own weight—the Cailean twins are unique in that the pirate crew took it upon themselves to put the two girls on Xu Fu’s decks the moment they noticed the girls. The reason for this oddity requires context: The twins were slaves accompanying their masters in Sabaody Archipelago at the time they were found, and Laurel is not someone who likes to involve herself in the affairs of the World Nobles due to her own past experiences. Nevertheless, perhaps finding some sort of connection between herself and the half-mink twins, she was unable to bring herself to ignore the girls, and so had them “kidnapped,” and the girls never to be seen again by their “traumatized” masters. Unfortunately, the damage was already done: the Hoof of the Soaring Dragon was branded on their backs, and whatever abuse Anelace was subject to has left her mute.
The girls lead much more peaceful lives on the Xu Fu, and are virtually inseparable. It goes without saying that many of the older crew members fawn over the twins whenever they visit; even Darling keeps her pranks on them more harmless than usual. In terms of demeanor, Anelace is, of course, shy, almost timid, preferring to hide behind her sister or whatever adult she trusts when another is speaking to her. She is, however, very observant, and quick to point out new things when she sees them, and she can be rather very stubborn when her mind is made up on just about anything. Estelle, in classical twin dichotomy, is a sociable ball of energy who is more than happy to speak on Anelace’s behalf, or stand up for her, and in that regard she seems almost eager to challenge Darling whenever they cross paths, challenging her to various duels.

An amazing read, as always! I love how distinct all of the characters are, adding a new face to the multi-faceted personality of Apollo's Pompokolin. (LOL @ Sado's masochistic nature. Really contradicting the name there, huh?)
Only one thing I'd prefer to have you change is Sleepy teaching Laurel how to read poneglyphs. Reading poneglyphs is going to play an important role in future world events. It's okay for your crewmate to have it, because then you'll have to defend her with your life~ But, if you have it too, it wouldn't be quite so difficult to protect that precious ability. Not to mention that I imagine it would take years and years of studying the many resources of the Oharan libraries in order to actually learn how to read the poneglyphs.

You know that boy ain't right when the resident Peeves leaves him alone.
Done - I was hoping Sleepy's former connections would make for a bit of a tie-in for Laurel's own knowledge as a scholar, but Sleepy's not exactly the teaching type, so at least there's someone one person on board with the knowledge at all. No biggie.

Set sail, Pompoko Pirates!

NPC name: Glenn Tipton

NPC level: 25
NPC appearance: Goblin is a small and ugly man at 5’1” with a small and ugly voice, akin to a bullfrog overdosed on helium. He is quick-footed, often zipping the perimeter of whatever room he happens to enter in short order, making him as a blur to others, which is just as well in their minds. As if advertising his role, he often wears a chef’s hat and apron across the Xu Fu. Unfortunately for those around, he doesn’t seem to wear much else.
NPC background: Goblin is a lecherous street performer turned lecherous pirate, accomplishing much of his crimes through sleight of hand and taking full advantage of his diminutive, unimpressive image and quick mind and feet for reconnaissance and infiltration jobs. His membership predates that of any other pirate under Laurel - besides One-Eye, who joined at the same time - and has been at her service since the crew’s time in the Blues. Throughout the Pompoko Pirates’ history, he has been known for his longstanding feud with One-Eye, and it’s rare for a day to pass by without them bickering, insulting, or even trying to murder each other. Their self-evident lack of success on that last aspect means their constant one-upmanship provides a regular source of entertainment for the rest of the crew. Goblin is not particularly well-liked due to his perverted nature, but due to his skills as the most competent chef of the crew (and genuinely enjoying it enough to wear the chef attire throughout the ship) and his amusing antics with his archnemesis, he is generally tolerated.

NPC name: Olaf Virta
NPC affiliation: Apollo’s Pompokolin
NPC position: Engineer
NPC level: 25
NPC appearance: As his epithet states, this wizened, wrinkled old black man some 5’3” tall has only one good eye, and if you were to ask what happened to the other he’d tell you he once kicked Hoard Marsh in the crotch so hard a nut popped out and gouged it. Blatant lies aside, there is little else about One-Eye worth describing aside from the shapeless, miserable, filthy, and lousy felt hat he wears wherever he goes.
NPC background: One-Eye is a notorious degenerate and incorrigible gambler who dabbles in black marketeering, the production of alcohol stills, and cheating at cards. His membership predates that of any other pirate under Laurel - besides Goblin, who joined at the same time - and has been at her service since the crew’s time in the Blues. In most cases One-Eye is loud-mouthed, obnoxious, prone to pick a fight, usually possessed by a bizarre sense of humor, and he never seems to run out of excuses that put him conveniently out of harm’s way. Despite this, he is considered one of the most valuable crew members of Apollo’s Pompokolin due to his vast wealth of experience, as well as his abilities as a thief and a con man.

NPC name: Tachibana no Chouko
NPC affiliation: Apollo’s Pompokolin
NPC position: Musician
NPC level: 12
NPC appearance: Standing at about 5’8”, Whisper has a lean, toned figure built for endurance, suited well to her profession as a percussionist (and equipping her with the finest derriere on the decks, if you asked the men). She has wavy red hair and eyes, and is an incredibly sharp dresser, favoring a white skirt suit over a black shirt with red cross-hatching, a purple tie, black hosiery, and and black boots with silver anklets.
With this in mind, coupled with her laid-back and straightforward personality, it would be easy to dismiss Whisper as being a daft drummer, but the reality is she is very wise and perceptive. Despite being a pirate opposed to the lifestyle of Wano Country, she bears little ill-will towards the nation in general. She has an almost regal air in her overall attitude, and makes for a pleasant conversationalist. As such, charisma and a silver tongue come naturally to her, making it small wonder how she became a former pirate captain.

- “Sleepy”:
“That dog we met before was running free—just like our dog. Or maybe that was a person we had. It’s within the margin of error.”
NPC name: Botan Valerian
NPC affiliation: Apollo’s Pompokolin
NPC position: Archivist
NPC level: 12
NPC appearance: Sleepy stands out in the ship halls for being a dainty, almost ghostly figure at 5’6” with long, wispy lavender hair and eyes, and a predisposition for similarly downy clothing, like pajamas, for daily wear. As such, the inexperienced tend to mistake her for being an actual ghost. Also not doing her any favors is her generally dark and taciturn facial expressions, and one can’t really expect anything from her more positive than a contemplative frown.
However, she is gifted with an ability to read poneglyphs.
Sleepy is generally introverted and silent in demeanor, at least a little sarcastic and cynical, and lacking in proactivity, but more interested in being left to her own devices. However, she is always interested where knowledge is concerned and shows no hesitation in trying to acquire it. She tends to be sarcastic and condescending towards anyone who doesn’t hold a similar interest, and seems to treat those who do, passive-aggressively, as rivals. In spite of this, she is childhood friends with Mercy, and goes out of her way to brew coffee for whenever she is off-duty. Ironically enough, Sleepy loves coffee, to the extent that on the off occasion she does leave the Xu Fu, it’s usually to steal coffee beans, much to the chagrin of the shops that stock them.

NPC name: Kenneth Massoqui
“Pain is the universe’s way of letting you know you’re still alive.”
NPC affiliation: Apollo’s Pompokolin
NPC position: Actual Shipwright. We think.
NPC level: 12
NPC appearance: Easily one of the most menacing visages on the Xu Fu, Sado stands close to 10 feet tall. His muscular body is covered head-to-toe in various kanji tattoos, scars, and piercings; perhaps the only thing left unmarred is the stripe of jade green hair on his head, fashioned into a mohawk standing an extra foot in length, left free to flutter in the wind with seemingly a will of its own.
NPC background: An ex-Cipher Pol agent, Sado’s biggest problem is the fact that he enjoys self-inflicted pain. After the invasion of Marineford by the Soaring Pirates fives years ago, which he viewed less a mass-Pirate invasion and more the biggest opportunity to “be himself,” Sado received a dishonorable discharge after being found on the outskirts of the island at that time, tied up and left behind in a dusty old shack, apparently put in that position by pirates who found him as too weak to bother with, but with forensics discovering he had done that to himself. (Though there was evidence of pirates entering the shack . . . and soon leaving.) As such, he decided to live freely and ended up joining Apollo’s Pompokolin, allegedly to take revenge on the World Government, but mainly due to hearing rumors that their ship was haunted by a sadistic spirit (Darling). Unfortunately for him, even Darling is perturbed enough to leave him alone, and so he occasionally tries to coax Goblin into handing over whole hellbañero peppers harvested from Amazon Lily instead, or else petition to have Mercy reinstated as his own personal chef.
The opportunity to fight the strongest opponents translates to the opportunity to experience pain of the greatest caliber, leaving him all too happy to meet such enemies head-on if given the order.

I've added a small rule to the NPCs template where NPC levels and stats can only be updated every time a player enters a new tier (which I hope is a sensible alteration). As such, I'm unlocking your thread so you might be able to change your NPCs accordingly. All the level 25 NPCs will now be level 20, and all level 12 NPCs will now be level 10 and have stat totals pertaining those levels. Apologies for the extra work~

- ”Goblin”:
“Keep your eyes peeled, folks. We’re ass-deep in strange country. Anything could happen.”
NPC name: Glenn Tipton
NPC affiliation: Apollo’s Pompokolin
NPC position: Cook
NPC level: 20
NPC appearance: At 5’1”,Goblin is a small and ugly man with a small and ugly voice, akin to a bullfrog overdosed on helium.
Throughout the Pompoko Pirates’ history, he has been infamous for his longstanding feud with One-Eye, and it’s rare for a day to pass by without them bickering, insulting, or even trying to murder each other. Their self-evident lack of success on that last aspect means their constant one-upmanship provides a regular source of entertainment for the rest of the crew. Goblin is not particularly well-liked due to his unpleasant personality and perverted leanings, but due to his skills as the most competent chef of the crew (and genuinely enjoying it enough to wear the chef attire throughout the ship) and his amusing antics with his archnemesis, he is generally tolerated.

- ”One-Eye”:
“Will you take note, gentlemen? Mercy, our master of the arts cleric and medical, has had the perspicacity to discover that I am drunk.”
NPC name: Olaf Virta
NPC affiliation: Apollo’s Pompokolin
NPC position: Engineer
NPC level: 20
NPC appearance: As his epithet states, this wizened, wrinkled old black man some 5’3” tall has only one good eye, and if you were to ask what happened to the other he’d tell you he once kicked Hoard Marsh in the crotch so hard a nut popped out and gouged it. Blatant lies aside, there is little else about One-Eye worth describing aside from the shapeless, miserable, filthy, and lousy felt hat he wears wherever he goes. Rumor has it that hat may be even older than he is.
Throughout the Pompoko Pirates’ history, he has been known for his longstanding feud with Goblin, and it’s rare for a day to pass by without them bickering, insulting, or even trying to murder each other. Their self-evident lack of success on that last aspect means their constant one-upmanship provides a regular source of entertainment for the rest of the crew.

“The land-walkers think we’re all here to help. How cute . . .”
NPC name: “Darling” (True name unknown)
NPC affiliation: Apollo’s Pompokolin
NPC position: Shipwright (dubious), Caretaker (even more so), Heel (absolutely)
NPC level: 20
NPC appearance: Darling resembles a small human girl (precisely 5 feet in height) with shoulder-length, jet black hair marked with a single red stripe at the front bangs, multiple white stripes throughout, red eyes, and distinctively sharp ears. She can also be distinguished by the pair of small, narrow horns jutting out from her forehead. It all serves as a firm reminder that Darling is almost certainly not human, let alone living or thinking as one. Rather, it could be said her appearance reflects her personality aptly, which blends together strange humor and malice in equal measure.

- “Mercy”:
“Even though it’s so dangerous for them . . . how can these Revolutionaries still travel?! Are they really that—oh, never mind. . . .”
NPC name: Sisel Beaucoup
NPC affiliation: Apollo’s Pompokolin
NPC position: Doctor
NPC level: 10
NPC appearance: Mercy is a tall canine Mink woman, just under 6 feet, with tan fur, red hair, large ears and a long snout, and a clean priestly garb of whites, blues, and purples she wears at almost all times. Whether despite or because of her imposing figure, she tends to use more passive body language when talking with others.
NPC background: In a crew where nicknames are often sardonically fitting or ironic, Mercy is an odd case where both criteria apply to her. She grew up as a chaplain in Ohara, and was the former cook of Apollo’s Pompokolin before Goblin took the position, her station only lasting one meal. This meal ended with many sickened crewmates falling prostrate in their barracks, praying to a higher power for the first time in their lives to survive, or at least be granted a swift and painless deliverance.

- “Whiskeyjack”:
“One of these days you lot’re gonna say something without getting sarcastic and I’ll curl up and die.”
NPC name: Elmo Shropshire
NPC affiliation: Apollo’s Pompokolin
NPC position: Cabin Steward, Barber
NPC level: 10
NPC appearance: No one has ever seen Whiskeyjack without his helmet—not even for bathing or sleeping—which has given cause for many to question if he’s even human, or at least whether he’s even uglier than Goblin, or more handsomely attractive than Whisper. He’s a tall and dark figure at about 6’2”, favoring a billowing gray cloak, a bottle of spirits hidden well within, alongside black and green clothing.
NPC background: Whiskeyjack was a former Ensign of the Marines who aspired to become a Captain, save up enough money from the salary, and enter an early and prosperous retirement—fairly ordinary.
He joined Apollo’s Pompokolin during the Xu Fu’s christening, and was the first to discover the hard way the chaotic (and occasionally violent) existence that is Darling.

Love the addition of the twins! The only thing you need correcting are the stats: lvl 20s should have a total of 580 and lvl 10s should have a total of 380. Other than that, everything looks in order~

- Whisper:
NPC Name: Tachibana no Chouko

- Mercy:
NPC Name: Sisel Beaucoup

- Sleepy:
NPC Name: Botan Valerian

NPC Age: (25 according to Marine records)
