These bits and bobs are accented with various animal hides and furs.
Description: William is a savage looking individual. Large and barrel chested he is visibly muscular with a healthy amount of body fat preventing him from looking ripped. His hands and feet are calloused. His beard and hair are long and unkempt. He rarely bathes anymore (maybe once a week, not counting rain) and prefers living in the wilderness so he's often dirty.

Personality: William is a broken man. William fears getting emotionally close to anybody and tries his best to keep things transactional. He will work with you if a job needs to be done or talk to you if you or him need information but after that's where things end. While he may be friendly and even jovial during a “transaction”, if he feels himself getting close to somebody he will actively pull away.
Even with his emotional and psychological scars he is still a good person at his core. If somebody clearly needs aide in either the form of labor or resources and there is nobody else around to provide it then William will do what he can. He simply justifies it to himself as trying to do the right thing, often exaggerating the potential consequences of inaction for further justification. Just don't expect him to let you buy him a drink in gratitude afterwards.
William feels an intense source of shame that he not only failed to kill himself but that he's “too cowardly” to try again.
Currently he has no real goals and is instead simply trying to survive a day at a time. He hunts bounties because that helps him do good and hunting is what he knows. At a primordial level the act of hunting gives him comfort.

William Numen-Zara Busch, who was born on the tropical island of Baterilla in the South Blue, never wanted for much. Not because he was wealthy or powerful (he came from a poor, working class family) but because he desired very little.
As a boy he wanted nothing more than to hang with his friends and for his parents to quit making him do so many damn chores. Once puberty hit he wanted to get laid. As he got older his wants grew to include things like getting married, having a family and seeing what kind of woman his daughter would grow to be.
For the most part he got what he wanted.
Early in his childhood, William was put into school where he learned to read, write and do simple mathematics. When he wasn't in school he was either helping his family out around the house, doing simple labor jobs such as picking fruits or out in the woods, hunting, fishing and getting into trouble with the other locals.
At the age of 12, William dropped out of school to work full time. He was never content to do one job for too long. So he did a bit of everything, from picking tobacco, to painting ships, to running a novelty hat stall, concierge work at a notable hotel and much more. In the process he managed to pick up a number of eclectic but useful skills becoming known as a sort of jack of all trades among the other locals on the island.
When William turned 25 he purchased a small plot of land in the woods and built small cabin. He found his calling as a trapper and a hunter. By harvesting all the resources provided by the beasts and birds that inhabited the lush forests of the island, William found some moderate wealth. Meat and organs went to the butcher. Flesh, scales and feathers to the clothing makers. Bones and other things to the various crafters who made knick-knacks for the tourists.
He wasn't rich by most standards but he made a good living.
At age 28 he met Sarah who worked at one of the butcher shops. Sarah was about his age, 5'9, with redish blond hair that reminded William of a summer sunrise and thick in all the right places. The two started dating and after about 8 months, an unplanned pregnancy and a spontaneous proposal, they got married. 7 months after that, their daughter, Summer, was born.
Things were good for the next several years. Until they weren't. One day, Summer who was then about 6 - 7 years old, came down with a fever. A local doctor said it was nothing to worry about. He proscribed the girl some medicinal tea and told them she just needed to rest. That night, while Sarah and William slept, Summer had a seizure, bit her tongue, and choked to death on her own blood.
Sarah and William were devastated by the loss of their beloved.
Sarah in particular blamed herself for her daughter's tragic death, saying that if she had stayed up with Summer instead of going to sleep, she could have saved poor girl's life. Unable to cope with these thoughts Sarah decided to take her own life. Less that 48 hours after burying his daughter Summer, William came home from the market to find his wife Sarah hanging from a tree with one his belts around her neck.
The loss of his family broke William in a way that was utterly indescribable. That night, after burying Sarah next to Summer, he slept in the woods. The very thought of going into that otherwise empty cabin, where his once happy family used to live, froze him to the core.
The next morning, following a turbulent sleep, William did the only thing that made sense to him at the time. Driven mad with grief, he took off his clothes, stashed all his possessions in into his home, and set fire to the whole thing. Then, as fast as he could, he ran sprinted towards a cliff and leaped off into the raging sea below where he hoped he would drown.
Only for the sea to spit him out hours later and miles away.
