Thu Jan 25, 2024 12:22 pm
Waxhead Pirates
Name: Waxhead Pirates
Faction: Pirates
Number of Members: 2
Strength: Tier 1 / Level 6
Jolly Roger: The Waxheads' Jolly Roger is a circular skull with some teeth sat under two round eyes fairly low down on the circle. A singular bone crosses behind the skull horizontally. Oh, and a huge glob of wax is plopped onto the top, giving the illusion of a candle.
Motive: The Waxheads as a whole have a diverse set of dreams. The common denominator for all the crewmates is Ickarus, who is responsible for their joining in one way or another. As such, they strive to accomplish Ickarus's goal as well as their own: To get to Skypiea.
Captain: Ickarus Helion
First Mate / Navigator / Cannoneer: Nauplius A. Tiphys
Ship
Name: Candlelight
Class: Small caravel
Description: Candlelight has two triangular sails to push the small vessel forward. The outside of the ship is coated with wax and steel for extra waterproofing and reinforcement. Underneath the deck, there is a small crafts/storage space adjacent to the living quarters.
Companions
- Nauplius A. Tiphys:
Name: Nauplius A. Tiphys
Species/Tribe: Torino
Personality: Wise, young at heart, observant, grounded
History: Growing up, Nauplius had next to no interest in becoming a doctor like his ancestors. Instead, he used the limited supply of books about history, the oceans, and navigating in the Torino library. His love for the sea never waned, and the moment he was allowed he waved good-bye to Torino Island and set sail for the nearest Marine base. There, he signed up and began working with the Marines for the next fifteen years.
At the beginning of year sixteen, Nauplius decided he was tired of being restricted to the Marines’ rules and guidelines. So, during the next scuffle with pirates Nauplius was involved with, he politely resigned on the spot and promptly fought with the pirates, inevitably winning that battle. As the next twenty years went by, Nauplius hopped from crew to crew, downing any enemies (Marine or pirate) with his expert cannon skills and earning the epithet “Nauplius the Wrecker.”
Finally, after thirty-five years at sea, Nauplius went home. His current pirate crew helped him fake his death and escorted Nauplius back to Torino Kingdom. Declared dead, Nauplius’s bounty was frozen and he lied low while the Black Fist Pirates launched their offensive against the Marines. After hearing of Gray’s declaration of a “Revival Dawn,” Nauplius itched to return to the ocean. Without a vessel, however, he could do nothing. Fortunately, Nauplius’s fate aligned with another pirate four years after Gray’s (presumed) death. A certain Ickarus Helion docked at Torino Island, and after helping defend the island from a gang of pirates, Nauplius consented to join the boy’s crew as navigator.
