Personality: Generally, Nico always looks serious and tries keeps his emotion in check. He only opens up in front of his friends or people who he can trust. Despite his serious demeanor, he is a pretty kind person that wants to help people. He can't stand injustice and will surely fight against it. But he know when to fight and when not to fight. If someone truly angers him, he will fight to the bitter end even if they are stronger than him. In combat, Nico tries overwhelm his opponent and tries to finish the fight as efficiently as possible. He is not afraid to fight dirty and believes that anything is fair in a true fight.

Born in Ilisia, Nico was left on the doorsteps of the Lotus Home with nothing but his name. The Lotus Home was an orphanage ran by a kind man named Father Marcus. Like others before him, Nico was taken in and was given a home. As a child, Nico spent his time playing with the other children at the orphanage or learning about sailing from the local sailors at the port. Nico dreamt of becoming a sailor and traveling to lands beyond Ilisia. His dream was further encouraged by Father Marcus. Although he had a place to live and eat, Nico always felt that something was missing. After seeing the other orphans getting adopted and leaving the home, he realized that he also wanted a family. Whenever he asked Father Marcus when he will get a family, Father Marcus always told him that his time will come. But his dream of getting a family was soon shattered when he found out about the truth of the Lotus Home.
When Nico was 14 years old, he overheard a conversation between Father Marcus and an unknown man. From that conversation, Nico learned that none of orphans at Lotus Home never got adopted but were sold to various buyers. Shocked, Nico didn't know what to do. In an effort to save himself and his friends, he decided to report this to the Marines. He found two marines loitering near the orphanage and told them what was happening at the Lotus Home. To his horror, the marines just laughed at him and escorted him back to the orphanage. At that time he didn't know but the marines that he asked were already bribed by Father Marcus. Before the two Marines handed him back to Father Marcus, Nico broke free and ran far away from the orphanage. But living in the streets of Ilisia was much harder than he anticipated. Without any food or water, Nico found himself in a near-death state but was saved by an old man named Nobu.
Nico didn't trust Nobu at first and believed that he had an ulterior motive. But the old man didn't do anything and only checked up on him occasionally as he recovered. During his time at Nobu's home, Nico found that Nobu was a martial artist and used to run a dojo. Not wanting to defenseless like before, Nico asked Nobu to train but Nobu declined stating he didn't want to take any disciples. But Nico persisted and always asked Nobu the same question whenever he checked up on him. Impressed by Nico's persistence, Nobu decided take him in as his disciple.
For the next four years, Nico went through rigorous training to learn Nobu's martial arts. When Nico turned 18, Nobu disappeared and left Nico a note telling him to find a purpose for himself. Nico spent next cuople years traveling and participating in illegal or legal fighting matches. Despite this, Nico still couldn't find a purpose like his master told him and felt guilty about adpbaning his friends at the orphanage. A friend he met in his travels, who was a member of the NRA, asked Nico to join the NRA and use his skills to fight against injustice. Spurred by his friend's words and his guilt, Nico decided to join the revolution...
