Description: Stitches is a teddy bear standing about 15 inches tall, though he is often sitting slumped like a normal toy, taking on an even smaller stature. His body is divided straight down the middle into two sides, one good, and one clearly malicious. One side is pristine white, with a cute black button eye, a friendly smile, and a little belly that extends into the darker side of the bear. The stuffy’s evil side bears a wicked grin, an evil looking red-button eye, and a small gray patch on its backside.

Personality: Stitches is a lecherous, greedy, manipulative, little bear made from the soul of a man with all of these qualities in spades. He is the tiny, weak, emasculated incarnation of everything that the woman who owned him hated about the man he was made from. Though his intentions are generally malign and mischievous, Stitches doesn’t truly have the power to act on these intentions, as he is a tiny coward who fears being hurt.
- History:
Stitches was born on "Pirate's Refuge", and was (for the most part) kept in the bedroom of a young lady who was affected by the previously unnamed island's occupation. Stitches spent most of his early life in this young woman's birdcage. He was effectively the punching bag for all of her frustrations with the man he was made from; a pirate that had always been awful to her, a bully, a pervert, and a harasser through and through, at least when it came to "uppity" women he could express his power over. She was fortunate enough that this harassment would eventually be put to an end, as that pirate crew's enforcer would eventually tire of seeing her fellow crewmate's creepy behavior, and use her power to reprimand him, draining his lifespan.
The young lady was given a choice, either the enforcer would dispose of the lifespan she'd stolen personally, or Lucy could have the soul imbued into one of her stuffed toys. Lucy opted for the latter.
Though his personality was largely made from the hated fragments of another person, his experiences with Lucy installed a deep pathological fear into Stitches’ artificial psyche: to step out of line meant brutalization, and in truth, horrific pain could come at any time even if the transgression was not his own.
It is this fear, and the misery it prompted in the caged bear, that the rebelliousness in Stitches (inherited from his “father”) would grow into full scale mutiny. Quietly, he plotted his escape, during a day of being tossed about his prison room, he managed to grab a couple of small pins, and jam them into his plush body. That night, once he was returned to the birdcage, in spite of his clumsy little paws, Stitches was able to pick the lock of the cage and make his way to freedom.
The little plushy stole away, hiding himself in a barrel, sealing it tight, and rolling his way off of the island's docks. He floated for days, weeks, perhaps even months; but he did not hunger, and he vastly preferred the peaceful nothingness of the darkness in favor of the woman’s beatings. It was this silent darkness that made Stitches realize that in truth, he wished he had never existed; however, rather than falling to depression, the little bear was angry. Here, in meditative emptiness, Stitches swore revenge against the woman who had created him.
One day, the barrel was hauled aboard by another pirate crew, and this is the day that Stitches’ story truly began…

[dass]Stitches was born on the ship of a certain notorious pirate crew, and was (for the most part) kept in the bedroom of the woman who created him in a small birdcage. He was effectively the punching bag for all of her frustrations with the man he was made from, when his creator was upset with the man, she would throw Stitches across the room and brutally abuse him as a stand in for the man she hated.[cmt]This origin story for Stitches' personality doesn't quite work in the context of the crew's relationship.
Noire is the official punisher of the crew and has no qualms about beating the shit out of Rumeo in front of the whole crew if the situation calls for it. Taking his lifespan is just part of the punishment. That said, she does not despise him the way your history implies. The Thunder Thunder Pirates are a tight-knit crew and fairly supportive of each other. She may have her frustrations at times, but she is not the type to take them out on a living teddy bear stand-in.
I do have a suggestion here though that can work. Rather than Noire being the direct cause of his personality, she can be an indirect one (so he would still have reason to meet her one day and enact vengeance, perhaps - if you so choose).
Maybe Rumeo came on to a woman of another pirate crew (you can make one up). He is lecherous enough to creep her out in no time. As soon as Noire catches wind of this, she beats him, takes some of his lifespan, stuffs it into a teddy bear, and hands off the teddy bear to the offended woman. That woman can be the abuser of Stitches.[/cmt][/dass]
