WORLEY E. VANE
Basic Character Information
Starting Bonus: Pocket Change [Starting Bonus Roll]
First Name: Worley
Middle Name/Initial: Eins
Last Name: Vane
Epithet: Knock Out
Birthdate: March 6th 1807
Gender: Male
Species/Race/Tribe: Human
Faction: Pirate
Profession: Hired Muscle
Physical Appearance
Height: 6'5"
Weight: 220 lbs
Hair Style: Short and unkempt
Hair Color: Light Blue
Eye Color: Blue
Scars: Various around the body, mostly on his torso
Clothing and Accessories: A preference on more loose fitting clothing, Worley would often be seen wearing loose shirts and baggy pants though not too loose as to impede his movement. He's also a fan of coats and would often be seen wearing one albeit old and tattered. However, should the temperature be too hot, Worley would often be seen either completely without a top or with only his tattered coat on. His weaponry, should he have such in his person, are often slung or strapped around his body wherever may deem fit. One would also often see his hands wrapped in bandage out of personal preference.
Description: Weathered and gritty yet with a certain youthful appeal; such is what some may often describe him as. Worley's built for strength without the exaggerated muscle growth, he remains lean, his muscles chiseled and pleasing to the eyes. While he may not be the most handsome man there is, arguably, one may consider him as good looking; though some may prefer the term 'acquired taste'.
The Past
Main Traits: Vigorous | Impulsive | Destructive | Determined | Uncompromising | Resourceful | Loud | Ambitious | Humorous | Amicable | Reckless | Bold | Confident
Likes: Cold Weather | Coffee | Fighting | Discovery | Competition | Challenges | Freedom | Exploration | Victory | Power | Success | Money | Women | Food | Friends
Dislikes: Hot Weather | Tea | Boredom | Defeat | Restriction | Marines | Weakness | Hunger | Stagnation | Forfeit | Disrespect | Government | Elites | Snobs | Egocentrics
Unique laugh: "GURRRAAAEEEEEEEHAHAH"
Hometown: East Blue, Loguetown
Personality: A foolhardy man, who some may even call flat out stupid, with immense vigor and determination. However, regardless of how thoughtless some of his actions may be, deep within, a more rational mind lies dormant. He'd never do anything he knew he couldn't, though more often than not, Worley would bite more than he could chew in light of his overconfidence. Regardless, one may always count on Worley should there be a job in need to be done as he would stop at nothing once he had set his mind on something.
A similarly foolhardy man could be seen with Worley whilst he's in combat; a violent, vigorous, and reckless man who'd most likely punch first before asking questions. However, should he be driven to the very edge, his more rational thinking would take over; allowing him to formulate better plans and actions other than his usual solution of punching harder.
- History:
Worley Vane's parents were both known pirates at the time, however, Worley never got to know who they were. Having only his first name to go with, he took on the surname and middle name of his adoptive grandmother who took him in after his discovery. Worley's parents were neglectful, stuffed inside a barrel of edible goods by accident after he had crawled inside before it was sealed. What was thought to be yet another shipment of food for Lougetown ended up as a bloated child who had eaten what was within the barrel. The old lady who checked these shipments took young Worley in her care out of pity. If not for his personal handcrafted bracelet then he wouldn't have even known of his name, a bracelet he still has, stored with his other belongings as it doesn't fit him anymore.
At a young age, Worley became accustomed to manual labor; hauling extremely heavy shipments off of pirates from the ripe age of seven. This lifestyle, paired by his obsessive strength training, came to form what he is today. Eventually, after the death of his adoptive grandmother, Worley became more involved in more dangerous jobs in search of better pay. He became a hired muscle, someone who would temporarily fight for those who hired him; be they pirates or citizens in need. With this, he became accustomed to combat and even began to develop his own style. As a teenager, Worley already became a known fighter amongst everyone else in Loguetown.
Highly influenced by the pirates who came and go around Loguetown, Worley decided on his next career; Piracy. He craved for adventure and infamy, one could even say that it ran within his blood. Regardless of how dangerous the circumstance may be, the foolhardy man from Loguetown pushed on through, all that's left now was to find a crew he could hitch a ride with...
