Age: 20
Gender: Male
Race: Human

He wanted to wear something finer, but he just couldn't be bothered! He sports a raggy sack repurposed as a backpack which contains his worldly wealth and dirty, grey cashmere wrist gloves.

His hair was a mess. Wild and long, covering his tired hazel eyes, his facial expression was mostly resting with his mouth always having something hanging from his lips.

Dislikes: Politics, Comedy, jokers/comedians, false praise, cold
Unique laugh: a very half arsed heheh...
Hometown: Illusia Kingdom, West Blue
Personality: Lazy and oblivious to the world sums up the aloof pirate. He was so lazy that he would rather just sleep than being forced to spark a conversation. Canary, however, isn't completely anti-social as may would expect him to be. Canary likes to be around people, even when he doesn't want to talk. He's an avid musican allowing his fingers to freely do the 'devil' work to fill the scene with music.
In a rare case of having a conversation with the lazy boy, they would discover that he is an eloquent and learned gentleman, never hiding of his nobility upbringing. He never acted out of turn or expressive. It feels like his action always had a equal measurement of emotion to garner his point across. However he brings up a strange oddity of requesting for a board game while they talk, citing his mind need to be stimulated, but to hide the restless fingers twitching.
He's a musican born not from passion but out of necessity. Canary was a restless person and had often found himself struggling to quell the irratic movements of his fingers.
He is generally an ignorant man, choosing to know the bare minimum of information acquired, causing problem and had often caused dispute and shattered professional relationship with the crew.
Violence is not his forte and does whatever he could to avoid getting himself involved, even if it means running away. Canary had no qualms of being called a coward or forcing people think the worst of him. His own survival was something of great importance and will press himself into raising his fists to fight his way out if cornered.
- History:
Canary's life was given to him with a silver spoon. Born into a family of minor nobles, The Nassau. He was destined for a life of justice and rightfulness in the Navy but found himself floundering in his teenage years. Escaped from the shackles of his obsessed father. He's now roaming around the world with his trusty, worn shamisen actively seeking a life of piracy.
He was the eldest of three and the only son of the Nassau family, a minor noble in the East Blue. His father, an navy officer, boasted many times that his son was destined for great things and he was not the one to shirk with his words. From the moment pup Canary was able to walk he was forced to run. From the moment chick Canary learned to utter words he was forced to learn. His childhood was flooded in education and he was forced to paddle with all of his energy for his father reminded him that his value of his boast comes with painful sting.
Canary tried his hardest to keep his father proud of him. He defeated children from other families of similar nobility in hand to hand sparring and despite his might in display, despite his victory his father beat him out of flaws he had made whilst his mother plucked the strings from the exotic shamisen.
Canary heard his father once said, "his son was like a pig iron, filled with impurities. It was my duty as a father, to hammer out the impurity as the artisan would to craft a fine sword!" The Father's boast became an obsession and it felt heavy upon the teenage Canary. He was relentless, unending and corrupting.
As he was at a breaking point, one night, Canary looked under the cloudy moonlit and pleaded with them to stop his father, "stop him, no matter how long you can. Father may be a strong man - you are above him?"
His pleas came to fruition, the clouds brought forth a thunderous storm and his father washed away into the abyss. That night, his father was travelling in the seas when it happened. His ship was struck and sank. What beyond that night came with a fleeting peace.
No education, no training, no father. Canary knew that it was the weather that brought him peace. After a day, he stood idly among the puddles and gazed at the skies. After a month, he made his peace with his mother. For a year, Canary found embracing the impassioned twang of the Shamisen gifted from his mother.
He pondered for many hours what his future would be now without his father, he was close to finding the answer until he was struck down with an enraged blow.
It was his father. He came back from the abyss. It was his boastful words, his obsession that willed him to live. Now his anger upon witnessing his son idling by, wasting these valuable youth on frollicking.
The next few months for him became a blur and found himself away from his home. He had escaped from father's obsession and snuck into a ship as a stowaway. He was originally ordered to join the navy but with a stroke of fortune and good timing, Canary had managed to break out of his own cage and fled from his cruel owner.
His adult years had become difficult: he became a pirate, but his difficulty to accept orders and unwilling to commit his piece of work had made him unpopular and often found himself left behind in an island that he only knew as a name. Though, this was trife in comparison to his upbringing.
