Emilia is a Caravel class airship powered by custom steam engines designed by Volo and kept afloat via a large balloon filled with hot air produced from the engines. Though is appears bulky, the ship is highly maneuverable and known for its speed.
The ships deck is spacious and affords enough room for even the largest of humans to be comfortable and also sports Volo's favorite hammock hanging off the edge of the ship. Cigarette butts are littered across the ship, with several overfilled ash trays being present on every level of the airship. While below deck there are several rooms, each having a different purpose. While Emilia does have a crew barracks, it is not separated according to gender and only Volo has his own room, which is connected to the engine room as well. A kitchen and cargo hold can also be found below deck, while several other small storage spaces and closets exist on board as well.
