[Bio] Francis Charlemagne

Born in secret to sentenced labourers on Tequila Wolf. Kept hidden from authorities for six years. Father grew frail and sickly. Mother took on extra work; died from overwork. Introduced to a labour camp at Tequila Wolf as a child labourer at age six with a new batch of prisoners. Raised with an admirable work ethic. Abnormally strong, hard-working, and well-mannered from a very young age.

At age sixteen, labour camp raided by pirates during an inspection. Single-handedly defeated the band of pirates with a kanabō. Demonstrated unconscious and uncontrolled use of Haoshoku Haki. Incident gained him the moniker of "The Golden Ogre of Tequila Wolf".

Refused recruitment offer by the visiting inspector for his rescue efforts, but accepted after being promised improvements for his home labour camp.

Proved to be an asset immediately after his recruitment. Resolved the incident at Port Harbinger with no casualties at age seventeen. Satisfied upon his visit to Tequila Wolf two years later when discovering the boosted morale at his home labour camp.Note: No improvements were made to the labour camp. Reports indicate labourers falsified high morale to support Charlemagne.

Promoted to Captain at the Navy Headquarters at age nineteen. Served under Vice Admiral Raines of G-5 until age twenty-three. Refused promotion to Rear Admiral position at age twenty-one due to transfer requirements. Present at the Battle of Marineford during the Conqueror's War.

Assigned to Vice Admiral Yoshiko during post-war restructuring. Served under her for two years until forced to accept a promotion to Rear Admiral by the Vice Admiral at age twenty-five. Transferred to the East Blue and assigned command of the 69th Battalion at age twenty-six.
