As all people motivated by money tend to be, Baron has a weaker sense of right and wrong than the typical person. In Baron's mind, he should be able to do anything he wants in order to acquire funds. This belief has led to his intense hatred for the marines and the world government, since over the years he has gotten into numerous run ins with the government while involved with illegal activities.
Aside from his love of money, Baron is a pretty one dimensional guy. He loves to eat sweets, and he is never one to walk away from a fight. Baron's main goal is to become the richest man in the world, and since he doesn't come from a rich background and he sees all legal jobs as slow money, he has become a pirate and is willing to steal or kill whatever is needed.
