Victor Abio
Basic Character Information
Starting Bonus: [Tough Guy]
First Name: Victor
Middle Name/Initial: G
Last Name: Abio
Epithet: Forbidden Science
Age: 31
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Faction: Pirate
Profession: Scientist, more specifically a biologist, with some skills in medicine.
Physical Appearance
Height: 7'11"
Weight: 234
Hair Style: Cut neatly at his chin.
Hair Color: Dirty Blonde
Eye Color: Gold
Scars: Numerous stitches along his pale frame, minor scars from self experimentation.
Clothing and Accessories: Victor's usually dressed in a perpetually bloodstained white lab coat, an unusual grey shirt which reveals his lower torso, and glasses with an assortment of adjustable, multi-lensed spectacles. He wore four fingered gloves with both his ring finger and pinky forced into the last one. A pair of grey pants, equally bloodstained, and a pair of black boots complete the look.
Description: A tall man, standing at almost eight feet, with an almost, sickly pale, lean build. He has a lean face, his dirty blonde hair cut oddly neat at his chin. Numerous scars cover his body from self experimentation. Judging by how he wears his gloves, it's possible his ring and pinky fingers are fused together. Though since nobody's seen him without his gloves, it's hard to tell.
The Past
Main Traits: Insane, Amoral, Experimental, Precise, Patient
Likes: New test subjects. Breakthroughs. The unexpected.
Dislikes: Closed minded individuals. 'ethics'. People denouncing his work.
Unique laugh: Keekeekeekee
Hometown: St Poplar
Personality: Look up the term 'Mad Scientist' in the dictionary, and if there isn't a picture of this guy, get a new copy. Victor is will to do ANYTHING in the pursuit of furthering science, and he wont let anything, especially things like morality and ethics, get in the way. He's always fascinated by different species and races, and how they're able to adapt and change. Even to go so far as to install machinery in them, and their bodies can keep up! As such, he has no problem performing experiments on live subjects, regardless of their consent, or lack thereof. After all, scientific progress requires some sacrifice, doesn't it? He hates how close minded people could be. Everyone would benefit from his research, who cares if some people die along the way?
Outside of his experiments, Victor is...oddly polite and well mannered. He often prefers to read, drinking coffee, and has a bit of a sweet tooth. While he's most interested chatting about his research, he will engage in conversation about other topics now and again. He doesn't really care about pursuing relationships outside of partnerships and associates. He's more than aware of how people perceive him.
While he admits he's not one for combat, he does tend to find combat scenarios quite exciting. In fact, he always likes it when the unexpected happens. So many possibilities to learn, and to test out ideas. What more could a scientist want?
- History:
Victor was always a curious lad. Ever since he was small, he witnessed the numerous types of people that came to St Poplar. After all, it was a popular place to go to. As he saw people in various shapes and sizes, he couldn't help but ask one question. Why? Why were people so different? What made one man relatively normal, and the other sixteen feet tall? What was the difference between Fishmen and Mermaids? How could all the different species interbreed? These and many more questions vascinated young Victor, and as he grew older, he started turning to medicine and biology, hoping to find the answers. He even took a job at the local doctor's office, hoping to sate his curiosity. However, unfortunately, modern medicine, in all its knowledge, couldn't help Victor find the answers he was looking for.
At least, not without digging deeper. And that required something a little less...legal.
He started with grave robbing. Digging up corpses of the dead to study. But studying the dead was rather limiting. Decomposition and the like. No, if he was going to get anywhere, he needed live subjects. However, where was he going to find them? And how would he do it without getting caught.
Well, turns out despite the marine base on the island, pirates did visit the island from time to time, and there was the occasional capture. Getting a job in the base's medical wing, Victor would spirit these prisoners out in the dead of night, the unfortunate pirates thinking they were being freed. Needless to say, they were never heard from again.
However, Victor's activities could not be hidden forever, and when the marines discovered what he was doing, well, let's just say there were lines even the World Government wouldn't cross. Victor found himself on the wanted list, just like the pirates he had cruelly experimented on. Victor was forced to flee St Poplar, quickly jumping from ship to ship, until he had made his way down to the Blues, and hopefully out of sight.
No home, no prospects, and wanted by the authorities. Really, just a minor setback. After all, people have pulled themselves up from nothing to become the strongest in the world. Victor had his knowledge, and he was going to use it.

Victor is one interesting feller. "Look up the term 'Mad Scientist' in the dictionary, and if there isn't a picture of this guy, get a new copy." That line is great.
