When out and about, he can be seen with a khaki colored backpack.
Description: A young man of the sun and tropics, he is a light tan brown skin toned boy with a somewhat muscular body. Baratel strives to get more fit and gain more muscle, but his body is okay as is for a rookie Pirate. He is a balanced framed young man, not being lanky nor buff, but fairly in the middle. The young Pirate has somewhat dark under eyes, but a fairly bright smile. Baratel may appear reserved and intimidating at first, but his smile and cheery optimism can lighten how others perceive him very quickly.

Personality: A strong and free seeking young man, he is trying to always improve upon himself and follow his free spirit. The free fighter's whims lead him on adventures of wild and unordinary. He is a very much so carefree person but cares for his close ones. It is common to see Baratel wandering to explore and see the sights, always craving more adventure. Though he is a free person, he has a set of morals he has learned as a child.
Baratel does not let injustice happen before his eyes, and cause of this, he has got into fights and trouble. The young adventurer is bright combat wise, not just wailing on people but using his bright smarts. He is a relaxed and easygoing Pirate of strong will but does not let others disturb the peace. When he is angry or neutral faced, he is often looked at by others as scary and intimidating cause of his dark under eyes. He cannot help it.
- History:
A beautiful blue haired baby born to a pair of rookie Pirates in love, but soon abandoned by his parents to live with his grandfather in Baterilla. Not much is known of what became of Baratel's young in love parents, however, his grandfather says both are likely dead somewhere. Upon hearing this for the first time, Baratel scratched his head and really never asked anymore about his parents. Them being not very important to his life, he went about a normal child's life in Baterilla raised by his grandfather who had been an exotic fruit farmer for just about his whole life.
The young boy's grandfather was often asked daily by local Baterilla Marines to join different Marine squads, as he was quite fit and muscular for an old geezer. However, each time Marines asked to join a Marine squad, he laughed and politely declined. It was said young Baratel's grandfather's father was a strong Marine, one who dealt out justice to thousands upon thousands of Pirates.
As a young boy, Baratel was frequently asked to join the Marines as his grandfather seemed to not have any interest but the local Marines sought to have a new Marine like the legendary one they once had some decades ago. However, to the Marines' dismay, he too did not have an interest either in joining the Marines, but instead pursuing the great treasure known as the One Piece!
The local Marines would dislike young and carefree Baratel for his dream and often scold him. Baratel cared not for what any of his local Marines said to him though. The young boy would explore his island of Baterilla and help his grandfather with his fruit farms. He would play with animals and talk to them for fun, sometimes being scratched by annoyed animals of Baterilla island. This was annoying for Baratel's grand father who would patch his wounds up for him. Baratel still continued playing with animals despite some of his cuts.
When young Baratel turned sixteen, his grandpa became bedridden and very ill. Baratel cared for his grandpa until his last moment, taking after his fruit farm. He would care for his grand father's fruit farm fairly well, but certainly not as great as his grandpa who had done it for decades. In the end, Baratel's grand father were to succumb to his illness at the age of seventeen for young Baratel.
Grandpa's Last Words: "Baratel, I ask of you to please, if you are to set out to sail after I pass on to elsewhere, do not end up like your parents. I never heard of them again after they set out for sea."
Baratel: "Oi! I will be a great Pirate! I can promise you that"
Grandpa's Last Words: "You are weak! Never stop trying to improve! With that being said, I think my time has come."
Baratel: "I will train all day, Grandpa! I will become Pirate King! I promise that!"
Grandpa's Last Words: "That is a spirit I like to hear. Become a great and respectable young man, Pirate King or not! My father said long ago... One Piece exists!"
And with those final words by the young dreaming Baratel's grandpa, a journey began. It would be one of great strife and adventure, seeing the world and looking for the granduer treasure, One Piece.
